galli koochon mien bargay khushk ki surat bikharna tha
hawa say dosti ka koi tu anjaam hona tha

janoon kay shahar mein likin humari haar lazim thi
idher ik shaira thi, us taraf sara zamana tha

yah sara umer kis aashuftagi mein raegaan kar di
usi ko yaad rakha hai, jisay dil say bholana tha

ajab wahshat ka alam hai samj mien kuch nahie atta
safar ki shab musafir ko kahan khaama lagana tha

diya-ay jo baam per rakhay thay mien nay bhuj gay saray
issi tareek shab mein usay ko maray gaoon aana tha

woh jab ohjal howa tu hum bi apnay app say chunkay
