kon shahr-e-jaaN ki nazar karey
kissey shouq tanhaa safar karey
karey shahr-e-furqat ki arzoo
kon dasht-e-hijraaN ko ghar karey

in raastoN par chalaa kabhii
merey saath ban k wuh hum-safar
jissey samjhaa shareek-e-reh-guzar
sar-e-raah wuh kisi moR par
badley gaa manzil , thii kyaa khabar

mujhey faasiloN ki fikr nahi
merey ru-ba-ru merey khaab heiN
wuh jo manzileiN heiN dhuwaaN dhuwaaN
ye jo be-nishaaN sey heiN raastey
merey waastey ye azaab heiN

ab uss k aur merey darmiyaaN
haail anaa k mizaaj heiN

ussey phir sey milney ki chaah meiN
ab aur chalna muhaal hai
kisey tera itnaa khayaal hai?
kahaaN kon tera hey muntizar?
merey dil ka mujhsey sawaal hai…

meri chaahtoN ka ye haal hai
jo merey junooN ka arooj thaa
wuhi hosloN ka zawaal hai
jo merey liye tha khushi kabhii
wuh ab.. baais-e-malaal hai

meri be-bassi bhi kamaal hai
nahi uss sey milney ki justujoo
na hi waapsii ka khayaal hai…!
