dost ban kar bhe nahe sath nibhanay wala
wahi andaz hai zalim ka zamanay wala

ab ussay log samjtai hain geriftar mera
sakt nadim hai mujay daam main lanay wala

kia kahain kitnay marasim thay humaray uss sai
wo jo aik shaks hai mun phair kai janay wala

tere hotai hoye aajati thee sari duniya
aaj tanha hoon to koi nahe aanay wala

muntazir kis ka hoon tootie hoi dahleez pai main
kon aai ga yehan kon hai aanay wala

tum takaluf ko bhe ikhlass samjhtai ho Faraz
dost hota nahe har hath milanay wala
