Gham-e-zindagi tera shukriya – teray faiz he sey ye haal hai
Wahi subh o shaam ki uljhanein wahi raat din ka wabal hai

Na chaman mein boo-e-saman rahi naa he rung lala o gul raha
Tu kafa kafa sa hai waqayee ke ye sirf mera khayal hai

Esay kaisey ziist kahey koi ghahey aah-dil ghahey chashm-e-num
Wahi raat din ki museebatein wahi mah hai wahi saal hai

Mein ghumon sey houn jo yun mutmaeen tu bura na maniye tu mein kahon
Teray husn ka nahi faiz kuch meri aashqee ka kamal hai

Hai ye aagh kaisee laghee hovi meray dil ko aaj hova hai kiya
Jo hai ghum tu hai ghum-e-aarzo aghar hai tu fikr-e visaal hai

Koi kaash mujh ko bata sakey reh o rasm ishq ki uljhanein
Wo kahey tu baat patay ki hai mein kahon tu khaam khayal hai

Ye bata ke kiya hai tujhay hova paye ishq sarwar ghumzdaa
Na wo mastiyan na wo shokhiyan na wo haal hai na wo qaal hai
